Gemma joined the team in 2016 having spent over 11 years as a global equity research analyst at Newton Investment Management focused on the healthcare sector. Here, she continues to provide leadership on healthcare investments, as well as contributing to research and investment stewardship activities more broadly. Gemma is a member of the Stewardship Working Group, with responsibility for leading on Governance issues, and she chairs the Work Experience Group, which is responsible for internal initiatives promoting social mobility within the financial services sector.

Gemma began her career at KPMG during which time she qualified as a chartered accountant and became a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Gemma holds an MA (Oxon) in Biological Sciences.
