Chiyo joined the team in 2019 and is responsible for managing client portfolios. Over the past 20 years, Chiyo established a strong track record of managing onshore and offshore clients.
Prior to joining Meridiem, Chiyo spent 15 years at Brewin Dolphin where she was a portfolio manager and Divisional Director. In addition, she was a member of the asset allocation committee and had an international focus.
She started her career with HSBC Investment Management (formerly James Capel) where she worked on the international side of the business. As well as managing portfolios, Chiyo was involved in the stock selection process for the wider office and started by covering the US healthcare, insurance and consumer sectors.
Chiyo is a Chartered Fellow of The Institute for Securities and Investment and she holds a Joint Honours degree from Durham University. Chiyo is also a Trustee of a medium-sized UK grant-giving Charity and she is chair of the investment committee.
